Carissa Codel is getting the last laugh.

The Missouri news anchor took on all comers in a hilarious series of social media quotes after some snarky readers made comments about her appearance.

She was having none of it.

Codel, 26, is making national news after some keyboard warriors poked fun at her appearance. The "Ozarks First" anchor on Fox 49 brushed off the criticisms and truly turned lemons into lemonade.

"Dayuum Gurl, I want you to put a hurtin' on me you do those midnight snacks," one person posted.

In a 55-second TikTok video, Codel took him down.

"I don't think I will," she mused.

Another post she targeted was also written in what one could call questionable English.

"I ain't never worked as hard as them ankles," another user posted on X.

Codel was having none of it.

"Ladies, if your man doesn't work as hard as your ankles, get another one."

The 5-foot-3 Codel said she started doing the videos in August, and they quickly exploded. One video posted in October has 5 million views on Instagram, where she boasts 222,000 followers.

The videos blew up almost instantly.

There have now been more than a dozen installments as she continues to ride the wave of her haters.

She has racked up millions of views and likes since beginning the series of videos, including one of her posing as pop star Sabrina Carpenter — whom she was reportedly repeatedly compared to — for Halloween.

The responses were immediate.

"This cake has got me down bad," one user posted.

Another noted that "she's got me watching the news in a town I don't even live in."

"I started making those videos after I got a few comments on one of my reports," the anchor told PEOPLE. "I personally thought they were hilarious and showed how often women in this field are scrutinized for their appearance."

"I wanted my video reading the comments to stand out, so that's where the newscaster voice came in."

"I feel like we can all hear how silly troll comments sound when they're read out loud," Codel continued, adding, "I never thought that they would go as viral as they have, but I'm so thankful for the support. I truly feel grateful for the little community that's been built."

In the end, Codel didn’t just clap back — she cashed in, turning every jab into a joke and every hater into a view.
