HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A moped rider suffered serious head injuries after a crash in Ala Moana Saturday night.

The crash happened at around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Kapiolani Boulevard and Atkinson Drive.

EMS said they treated a 35-year-old man who was riding a moped and was involved in a crash with another vehicle and suffered multiple serious injuries, including injuries to the head.

EMS said he was not wearing a helmet.

The moped rider was taken to the hospital in serious condition for further care.
