The subject of discussion surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers in recent weeks has been all about head coach Mike Tomlin's future with the team, and whether or not his tenure in the Steel City needs to come to an end.

Currently in his nineteenth season with the franchise, the former Super Bowl Champion has had a long and mostly successful tenure with the Steelers. But after making the playoffs eight times in the first 11 years with the team and advancing to Super Bowls, Tomlin has led the Steelers to just four postseason appearances since the 2018 season, and with the team dropping five of their previous seven games entering Sunday's showdown with the Ravens, whether or not he should stay on in his position after this season has been a hotly debated topic.

The Steelers managed to take some heat off their head coach's seat against Baltimore, though, as they earned a 27-22 win over the Ravens to secure an outright lead in the AFC North and better position themselves as a playoff team come January. And Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers seemed displeased with all the talk about Tomlin in recent weeks when asked what the win meant after the past week of discussions.

"Maybe you guys will shut the hell up for a week," Rodgers responded to the question.

Rodgers, who went 23-of-34 for 284 yards and one touchdown in the win, is likely tired of all the Tomlin talk potentially derailing a playoff season as he attempts to seek a happy ending with his new franchise after a turbulent late-career stretch that has seen him play for three teams in four seasons. He has tallied over 2,300 yards and 20 touchdowns through the air this season, and clearly wants to focus on the football at hand while there is still plenty to be played.

Rodgers comments on all the hoopla, does have a team option for the 2027 that must be decided upon before March 1 this coming offseason. So while Tomlin will be back next season unless he chooses not to, a big decision on his future is coming – whether Rodgers wants to hear about it or not.
