BOSTON — Shay Maloney had the Boston Fleet’s last game against the Minnesota Frost in mind heading into Sunday’s contest at Agganis Arena.
The Fleet saw their playoff hopes end last season when the Frost dominated their way to a seven-goal victory at the end of last season.
“Coming off of last season, they left a sour taste in our mouth,” Shay Maloney said. “We played with a little bit more of a chip on our shoulder, just because I think we had a little bit of something to prove at the end of last season, so it was a fun game to play in.”
Mahoney made sure things started on the right foot for Boston this time, scoring the game’s first goal at 17:03 of the first period en route to a 4-1 victory.
