Itanagar, Dec 7: In a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, the Itanagar Capital Police on Sunday apprehended an alleged drug peddler and seized 94 plastic vials containing suspected heroin during a targeted operation in the capital region.
The accused has been identified as Md Anitullah (22), a native of Rampur in East Champaran district of Bihar and presently residing at Toshi Apartment near Ganga Market, Itanagar.
Acting on specific input regarding his involvement in the sale and possession of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, a police team led by Itanagar SDPO Kengo Dirchi, and operating under the close supervision of SP Jummar Basar, immediately launched an operation to intercept the suspect.
