YINGKIONG, Dec 7: Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang on Sunday inspected the 30-km Panggo–Ningging stretch of the strategically important Migging–Tuting Defence Road, which is currently under construction in the district.
The work is being executed by 1448 Border Roads Construction Company (BCC) of 761 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) through an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor. The project is aimed at strengthening all-weather connectivity to key border and interior locations.
This particular stretch largely passes through sinking and vulnerable zones, requiring permanent and technically robust treatment to ensure reliable, all-weather connectivity throughout the year. The construction involves advanced road treatment techniques, including Cement Treated
