The deadline for submitting forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, currently underway in 12 states and union territories, will end on December 11.
Data received so far shows a massive number of voter deletions likely in several states, with Tamil Nadu topping the list.
According to the latest figures, 84.91 lakh enumeration forms in Tamil Nadu are in the ‘uncollectible’ category, indicating that these names may be removed from the draft electoral roll to be published on December 16.
