President Donald Trump promised the press that he would deliver a memorable night at the Kennedy Center while handing out medals to the honorees, and he sure did follow through.

Like all the people who participated in the ceremony before him, he congratulated the honorees while throwing in a few jokes. Trump opened by praising himself, saying that he was the first president to ever host the event. He then proceeded to poke fun at members of the entertainment industry throughout his 12-minute speech.
