A person died after being shot in Vallejo Sunday, according to the police department.

Police said they received a call regarding an unresponsive person lying in the roadway in front of a home on the 100 block of Woodside Road just before 3 a.m.

At the scene, officers observed the male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to authorities.

Despite providing life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.
