Maoists Kill Contractor | Hyderabad, Dec. 8: A contractor from Uttar Pradesh was killed by Maoists in the Pamed police station limits of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh.

The incident created fear in agency villages after the victim was found dead with his throat slit early on Monday.

According to initial information, the victim, Imtiyaz Ali , was executing road construction work at Irpalli village.

Despite earlier warnings from Maoists not to continue the project, he proceeded with the work. As a result, armed cadres abducted him on Sunday. Security officials said the abduction occurred near the project site while labour activity was underway .
