The Met Office has issued a detailed weather forecast for Darlington and County Durham for the week ahead.

Monday morning will start with some sunny breaks, eventually becoming brighter, with temperatures ranging between 8°C to 10°C.

There is a 30 to 50 per cent chance of precipitation.

In the afternoon, the sunny intervals will persist, and the temperature will reach around 11°C, with a drop in precipitation probability to about 10 to 30 per cent.

By evening, the skies are expected to be partly cloudy, with temperatures hovering at 9°C.

The chance of rain will lessen to 10 to 20 per cent, increasing to 20 to 30 per cent into the night as the temperature drops to about 8 to 9°C.

The morning might see some light showers, but it should be a suitable day for outdoor activities.
