From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., 66 youth athletes, ages 11 to 13, assisted with tasks around the Social Services building on McCallie Avenue.
The young volunteers sorted donations, stocked the client-choice food pantry, tidied the facility, and decorated for Christmas.
With the Social Services building running multiple programs like Recreate Café, the Blessing Place, and the Community Market, volunteer support was critical to keeping services running smoothly.
Major Douglas McClure emphasized the importance of volunteers, while CFC Youth Director Miguel Rodrigues highlighted that the event helped develop young people as responsible member
