A father has invested £150,000 constructing a school within his own garden for his children, having grown weary of what he describes as the "rigid" and "oppressive" nature of Britain's education system.

Samuel Leeds, a 34-year-old property developer, made the decision to withdraw his three eldest children – aged eight, seven and five – from mainstream education after becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the absence of finance and business education in their curriculum. The father-of-four dedicated half a year to creating the 600 square foot educational facility in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, and currently employs two full-time educators while also personally delivering lessons on finance.
