The 2025 wrestling season is off and running, and there are dozens of strong wrestlers to keep an eye on throughout the season from the Rockford area.

Last year, Hononegah hauled in a NIC-10-record six individual state medals, and then finished second in the Class 3A Dual Team State Tournament the following week to highlight the Rockford area. "This team is already impressing me," Hononegah head coach Tyler DeMoss said after Hononegah placed seventh out of 32 teams in last week's Marmion Cadet Classic. "This is going to be another fun year."
