INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man was critically injured in an overnight shooting on the west side of Indianapolis.

The shooting was reported around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8 in the 5000 block of West Caven Street , near Minnesota Street and South Lynhurst Drive.

Responding officers located a man who had been shot. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, an IMPD spokesperson said.

Additional information on the circumstances of the shooting was not immediately available.
