Country artist Aaron Watson will return to his hometown next week for “An Aaron Watson Family Christmas,” an annual holiday tradition that has become one of his most personal and meaningful performances. The show is set for 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts.
The Amarillo stop opens a short holiday run that continues in Lubbock with two shows at the Cactus Theater on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., followed by performances in Abilene on Dec. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m.
Watson spoke Friday, Dec. 5 from Las Vegas, where he is performing at the National Finals Rodeo Buckle Ceremonies, and said the timing of the Christmas series always arrives when he’s stretched thin — but it ends up being the highlight of his season.
