BBC Breakfast presenters Jon Kay and Sally Nugent delivered some devastating news just moments into Monday's programme. Whilst running through the morning's headlines, they revealed that renowned photographer Martin Parr had died.

A special tribute segment was later broadcast to honour the photographer's life and legacy. Sally opened, saying: "Now. Martin Parr, the photographer whose colourful images captured and defined British life, has died at the age of 73."

Jon added: "David now looks back at the life of a man considered to be one of the giants of post-war British photography." During the feature, BBC correspondent David narrated: "Martin Parr, in the 1980s, he went to New Brighton to capture all the joys of the British Seaside.
