Thiruvananthapuram: The complainant in the second rape case against MLA and expelled Congress leader Rahul Mamkootathil has submitted her statement to police, alleging assault while she struggled to escape.
She told police that she was repeatedly threatened and received multiple calls after the incident. Fear had prevented her from reporting the matter earlier. The statement was recorded by SP G Poonguzhali, with both the testimony and supporting digital evidence now submitted to the court.
Court to hear anticipatory bail plea
Rahul’s anticipatory bail application in the second case is due for consideration today (Monday) at the Principal Sessions Court in Thiruvananthapuram.
In the first case, the Kerala High Court had stayed his arrest until December 15. No court has yet granted him
