A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued for the North East, with some areas expected to get gusts of up to 70mph from Storm Bram. The storm is to bring very strong winds, high coastal water levels, and periods of heavy rainfall to Ireland from late on Monday night through until Tuesday.
And the gusts will also affect the North East over an 18-hour period. The latest wind alert covers County Durham and Northumberland .
It runs from midday on Tuesday, December 9, to 6am on Wednesday, December 10. The Met Office says: "Strong winds may cause some disruption during Tuesday afternoon onwards overnight into Wednesday." This comes alongside a yellow warning for heavy rain, in place from midnigh
