How can this be?

With Christmas nearly here, many of us are on the hunt for the next festive flick for movie night. Thankfully, review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes has its list of the top 100 Christmas films of all time. But shockingly, many of the well-known favourites don't even crack the top 10.

Sitting at number 10 is Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life, with a rating of 94%. A heart-warming gem considered among the best films ever made, Rotten Tomatoes dubs the film "the holiday classic to define all holiday classics". At number nine is Carol, a film adapted from the novel The Price of Salt. It charts the journey of budding photographer Therese and her forbidden romance with an older, sophisticated woman named Carol in 1950s New York. It bagged a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 9
