Duke football will play Arizona State in the Sun Bowl on New Years Eve.
The Blue Devils (8-5) will take on the Sun Devils (8-4) at 2 p.m. ET at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas (CBS). It will mark a rematch of the 2014 Sun Bowl, where the Sun Devils defeated the Blue Devils 36-31.
Duke took down Virginia 27-20 in overtime on Dec. 6 to claim its eighth-overall ACC title and first outright since 1962. Despite winning the league, Duke did not earn a bid to the College Football Playoff as it did not finish as one of the five highest-ranked conference champions.
It will mark the 92nd edition of the Sun Bowl and a rematch of the 2014 version that saw Arizona State defeat Duke, 36-31. That was the lone meeting between Duke and Arizona State.
