A worker has died following an incident at a haulage firm in Middlesbrough.

Emergency services were called to AV Dawson, at Riverside Park Industrial Estate in Middlesbrough, on Monday (December 8) following an incident.

AV Dawson, the owner and operator of the Port of Middlesbrough, has confirmed that the incident has tragically resulted in the death of one of its colleagues.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said it is aware of the situation and is working with Cleveland Police to establish what happened.
