DSP suspended for indiscipline during training course

Chandigarh, December 8, 2025: Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has ordered the immediate suspension of DSP Babandeep Singh (DR-2020), Hoshiarpur Headquarters , over allegations of indiscipline and misconduct during an official training course.

According to the order, Babandeep Singh was deputed to attend a course at Rajiv Gandhi University of Law, Patiala , from November 17 to 22, 2025 . A complaint received from the university accused him of behaviour that brought disrepute to the police force .

Acting under Rule 4(1)(b) of the Punjab Punishment and Appeal Rules, 1970, the DGP placed him under suspension with immediate effect. During the suspension period, his headquarters will be the 7th IRB, Kap
