Everything you need to know as Storm Bram impacts UK
Storm Bram has been officially named as the UK braces for heavy rain and damagfing winds, with the Met Office issuing multiple weather warnings - including an amber wind alert for northwest Scotland.
Heavy rain begins sweeping in from the southwest on Monday evening (December 8), bringing 40mm of rainfall widely and up to 100mm over high ground in Wales and southwest England. Flooding and travel disruption are 'likely' ,the Met Office warns.
On Tuesday (December 9), five wind warnings and three rain warnings are in force, impacting all of Scotland and Northern Ireland, and much of northern England, southwest England and Wales.
Within the amber wind warning over northwest Scotland, the Met Office says gusts of up to 90mph
