SHELBYVILLE, Ind. — Dealers and dual-rate dealers at Horseshoe Indianapolis have voted to join Teamsters Local 135 , according to a news release from Teamsters Local 135.

More than 200 dealers and dual-rate dealers were scheduled to vote in their Teamsters election on Friday, Oct. 17 .

The National Labor Relations Board postponed the election indefinitely during the 43-day government shutdown — leaving the workers to strike for seven weeks.

“Being part of this strike reminded me just how much power we have as workers,” Dakota Massman, a table games dealer at Horseshoe, said in a news release. “Horseshoe has billions of dollars behind it.
