WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - AAA is reminding people this holiday season that while the snow makes for dangerous roadways, road debris, including poorly secured Christmas trees that fall off your car, can make roads even more treacherous.
Officials say road debris on average contributes to 53,000 crashes, 5,500 injuries, and 72 deaths each year.
To keep you from contributing to the road debris dilemma, AAA asks you replace worn or underinflated tires to avoid blowouts, inspect exhaust systems for rust or corrosion, and ask technicians to look for issues during oil changes.
