BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Vermont murder suspect now faces new federal charges connected to suspected drug trafficking.

Christopher Crawford, 46, of New Jersey, is accused of pulling the trigger in an execution-style murder in Burlington’s City Hall Park in 2022.

He’s still behind bars awaiting trial on those charges.

Now, a new federal indictment accuses Crawford of possessing drugs and guns as part of a drug trafficking crime three days after the shooting.

He has not yet been arraigned on those charges.
