One person is in critical condition after a hit-and-run shortly after midnight Monday.

Police responded to the area of Northeast Vivion Road and North Lister Avenue on reports of a hit-and-run. Advertisement

Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of an unknown eastbound vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was standing or walking on Vivion Road.

The driver then left the scene without stopping.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
