CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A community in Cary is in mourning after a 15-year-old sophomore at Green Hope High School was killed in a car crash. The driver, also a teenager, is facing charges.

ABC11 spoke with friends of Lena Goff, as they remembered a life gone too soon.

Outside the crash site at Louis Stephens Drive and Morrisville Parkway on Sunday, heartbroken friends remembered Lena.

Ava Carter said she was in shock to learn that her friend had been in a car crash.

The wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The driver of a green Honda Civic failed to yield while making a left turn onto Louis Stephens Drive from Morrisville Parkway, colliding with a blue Jeep Cherokee.
