Goaltender Matthew Hutchison made 32 to saves to record his first career shutout for the Pats, who picked up their first victory since Nov. 15. After going 0-6 on their U.S. road trip , the Pats blew a 3-1 lead on Friday night against the Brandon Wheat Kings, who won 7-4 to hand Regina a seventh straight loss. Article content Article content
With the win over the Blades, the Pats move to 10-16-3 in the WHL Eastern Conference standings, which has them tied with the Red Deer Rebels for the eighth and final playoff spot although the Rebels have two games in hand.
The Pats will be back in action on Saturday for the annual Teddy Bear Toss game against the Kelowna Rockets
