Jacobs scores two in Blades’ victory
Stefan Jacobs scored twice and Russell Vaughan made 29 saves Sunday in the Blenheim Blades’ 5-4 win over the Dresden Kings in the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Stobbs Division. Article content Article content Article content
Ethan Waddick, Gavin Meriano and Nelson DeKoning also scored for the second-place Blades (19-6-1-0), who led 5-2 late in the third period before 347 fans at Blenheim Memorial Arena.
Cameron Graham, Drew Bunda, Colton Graham and Mackenzie Anderson scored for the sixth-place Kings (9-13-3-0). Griffyn Taylor made 41 saves.
On Saturday, Vaughan made 22 saves in the Blades’ 7-1 road win over the Mooretown Flags.
Brad McAlpine, David Brown, Everitt Swayze, Dominic Goure, Brady Robertson, DeKoning and Jacobs scored.
