A man has been charged after police from two counties helped chase down a suspect.

The pursuit began in Beccles town centre at 10.50am on Sunday, after a driver accelerated away from two officers.

Police followed the car through south Norfolk and north Suffolk.

After the chase, officers deployed a stinger in Carlton Colville and arrested the driver.

Kris Parker, 40, of Mutfordwood Lane, Mutford, was later charged with driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving with no insurance.

He appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court on Monday and was remanded into custody.

He will next appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on December 24.
