Baltimore County police arrested a 19-year-old man in Parkville in connection with an attempted kidnapping that occurred last week.

Court papers said that on Wednesday and Thursday of last week, a woman called police after a man told a group of kids along Edgedale Road that their parents could not pick them up from school and they should “come with him.” That man was later identified as Cameron Keelan.

A parent took Keelan’s photo and posted it to social media. Over the course of two days, police said Keelan tried luring several kids in the neighborhood, including kids as young as 6 and 7, at bus stops, even being spotted in the parking lot at Immaculate Heart of Mary School on Loch Raven Boulevard.

Police said Keelan had been investigated by police for sex-related incidents in the past
