FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - It is a cold start to the week with high temperatures in the low 20s, and wind chills that stayed in the single digits throughout the morning. Today will be the only day this week where precipitation will not be in the forecast. Snow returns tomorrow morning for some around and north of Fort Wayne.

After snow departs tomorrow morning, temperatures will go above freezing and that will allow rain to fall late tomorrow night into Wednesday morning. As temperatures cool down on Wednesday rain will switch to snow at some point before lingering into Thursday. In terms of snow totals, we only expect half an inch from tomorrow morning’s snow, and not much is known about Wednesday night and Thursday’s snow until we see when those rain showers switch to snow.
