Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was omitted from the squad to face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League clash in Milan on Tuesday. A BBC report stated that the decision to omit the 33-year-old from the traveling squad was made with the complete backing of manager Arne Slot, adding that it was in the best interest of everyone at the club for the Egyptian to stay away for a brief period.

The report also said that Salah would face no disciplinary action from Liverpool.
