The family of a dad at the centre of a murder investigation in Oldham have paid tribute to a 'gentleman with a big heart' as they said their 'hearts will be forever broken.'
It comes as it was confirmed a man has been charged with his murder. Police attended a property on Plumpton Close in Royton at around 7:50pm on Saturday evening (December 6) following reports of an 'altercation.'
Officers and paramedics treated a 55-year-old man, but he died at the scene. He has now been named as Paul Anderson.
In a statement paying tribute to him, Mr Anderson's family said: "Rest in peace Paul, a precious dad, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who was so loved. A loveable rogue who wouldn’t hurt a soul, sadly taken from us in the cruellest way.
