Famous author, journalist, and humorist, Harry Golden was pictured in The Desert Sun at the Jewish Community Center’s Forum in Palm Springs flanked by Stan Rosin (pronounced ro-zene) and H.H. Ridder on Nov. 5, 1959, with a caption that noted “he advised Palm Springs citizenry to get off the dime and ‘take part’ in all community activities.”

Golden had been introduced by Long Beach Independent and Press-Telegram publisher Ridder who likened Golden to famous author and humorist Will Rogers. Ridder was introduced to the capacity audience by Forum Chairman Rosin.
