Naismith Hall of Fame announcer Mike Breen had a strong reaction to Desmond Bane’s wild play in the Magic- Knicks game on Sunday.
During the fourth quarter of New York’s 106-100 victory, OG Anunoby was driving toward the basket on a fast-break when Orlando’s Anthony Black made an athletic block at the rim.
The ball was live and Bane then grabbed the loose ball and threw it off Anunoby like he was playing a game of lunch time dodge ball. An agitated Anunoby then shoved Bane in response.
“Obviously, Bane wanted to save it and get possession but he threw it like he was throwing a fastball,” Breen said on air.
“That play looked very hostile but it’s legal,” Walt “Clyde” Frazier said with a chuckle.
