Police find woman dead in her N.J. home during welfare check

Police are investigating the death of a woman on Monday morning inside her home in Middlesex County.

Officers were called about 10:40 a.m. to conduct a welfare check at the home on Redwood Court in South Brunswick, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka.

Inside the home, officers found Veronica Jones, 47, unresponsive. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.
