The iconic American retailer Sears has shrunk to only five remaining locations across the United States, a dramatic decline for a company that once operated around 3,000 stores globally and dominated the retail landscape.
Four of the remaining stores are located in Simon Property Group malls in Braintree, Massachusetts; Concord, California; El Paso, Texas; and Orlando, Florida, according to the Street .
A fifth standalone location in Coral Gables, Florida, may be demolished to make way for 1,000 housing units, according to a CNN report .

The collapse of Sears has been steep and unrelenting, according to reports.
