MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A water leak from a burst pipe at a Madison apartment complex displaced four people from their home, the Madison Fire Department announced Monday.
A resident of the apartment complex ran over to the fire station across the street at around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning on the 1500 block of Troy Drive on the east side of Madison.
The resident reported that a pipe had burst in the building and was flooding hot water into his apartment.
When firefighters arrived at the apartment complex, they found large amounts of water pouring out of a floor register. The building was starting to flood, and firefighters could not find a shutoff valve and could not reach property management.
As the flooding began to worsen, firefighters went to the unit below to alert the people living
