CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Hawkeye football senior Logan Jones is one of three finalists for the Rimington Trophy, given to the nation’s best center.
The player from Council Bluffs was a game captain in every game this season.
He was named First Team All-Big Ten by coaches and media last week.
Jones was this year’s pick for Pro Football Focus’s top center in the country.
He was also named the Outland Trophy National Player of the Week following Iowa’s win against Minnesota 41-3 at the October 25 game.
Other finalists are Jake Slaughter from Florida University and Iapani Laloulu from Oregon University.
The winner will be announced at ESPN’s College Football Awards Show on December 12.
