PRINCETON, W.Va. — Karen Bowling, President and Chief Executive Officer of WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH), has been elected to serve a three-year term as West Virginia's delegate to the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Regional Policy Board.

The West Virginia Hospital Association (WVHA), which represents 78 hospitals and health systems statewide, selected Bowling to join the board. This group of healthcare leaders is tasked with examining emerging policy issues and advising the AHA Board of Trustees on matters that shape national healthcare strategy and advocacy efforts. The AHA's nine Regional Policy Boards meet three times annually to ensure that local and regional perspectives inform federal policy development.
