Free agent slugger Pete Alonso has been linked to the Red Sox ever since the offseason began. The two seem like a perfect match, as Boston needs a big bat and the longtime New York Mets slugger is among the best on the market.

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, Alonso is traveling to Orlando on Tuesday to meet with interested teams at the Winter Meetings. The Red Sox are among the teams expected to sit down with the slugger, a list that Puma says also includes the Baltimore Orioles.
