Northside Neighborhood House is transforming part of Hamilton County into its own version of the North Pole, and the goal is simple: make Christmas accessible for every family, no matter their financial situation.

The nonprofit, which serves families across northern Hamilton County with utilities, housing, food assistance, and holiday support, is once again operating its annual Santa’s Workshop. The event allows parents to shop for toys at no cost, giving them the chance to handpick gifts for their children.

“Santa's Workshop is an event that we host every year where parents are able to come and shop for free for toys for their kiddos for the holidays,” said Chief Stability Officer, Jamison Shimmel.

Shimmel says the purpose extends beyond gifts; it's about dignity and choice.
