With snow falling since about 6 a.m. in the Charleston area and up to five inches of snow possible across southern West Virginia on Monday, several area school districts have changed their learning plans for Monday.
Notably, Kanawha County Schools will close two hours early today.
A warming shelter will be open in Charleston from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Monday night at the Bream SHOP, 319 W. Washington St. W. on Charleston’s West Side. The shelter typically opens when the forecast dips below 20.
The Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority is operating a warming bus until 11 p.m. Monday night and starting at 5 a.m. Tuesday at City Center at Slack Plaza.
