If you own a toaster oven, it could be a part of a massive recall in Canada.

On Monday, the recall for Oster French Door Toaster Countertop Ovens was expanded by Health Canada due to a “burn hazard.”

“The oven’s doors can unexpectedly close, posing a burn hazard to consumers,” reads the notice .

As of Dec. 4, 2025, the public health agency says Oster has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. However, in the United States, the company has received 95 reports of the doors “unexpectedly closing,” resulting in burn injuries and two reports of a second-degree burn.

Oster reported that 170,560 units of the product affected by the recall were sold in Canada, and 1.29 million were sold in the U.S. The impacted toaster ovens were sold from January 2015 to July 2025 in Canada
