Much of Alberta is kicking off the workweek with snow and winter storm watches, and the forecast for Calgary is not looking so cute.
The Rockies west of Calgary are currently set to see snowfall tonight, and winter storm watches are in place to the south and east of the city. While we aren’t forecast to see significant snowfall, our temperatures are looking to nosedive through the week.
According to the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecast, the weather in Calgary is above average for today, Dec. 8; however, the thermometer takes a dip starting on Wednesday night.
Calgary is forecast to reach a high of 5°C today, with an overnight low of -4°C. Daytime highs remain above freezing on Tuesday and Wednesday, but a brisk -19°C is forecast for Wednesday night.
