POUGHKEEPSIE – The City of Poughkeepsie police, with the assistance of the US Marshal Service (USMS), have arrested two men in connection with an April 15, 2025, “shots fired” incident at 120 Hudson Avenue, the housing project known as “The Bricks”.

J’Aaron Wheeler, 21, and Daevon Vann, 20, both residents of the City of Poughkeepsie, are accused of firing guns at the complex and then discarding the weapons before fleeing from the scene around 6:15 p.m. on April 15.

The arrests were the result of an extensive investigation by city detectives, the US Marshal Service, and the Dutchess County DA’s Office, according to City of Poughkeepsie Detective Lieutenant Sean McCarthy.
