Recently, the ACLU released a harrowing letter documenting the neglect and abuse pregnant and postpartum women endure in ICE custody. Working alongside the National Immigration Project , Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization, and other advocacy organizations, the ACLU interviewed women detained while pregnant and in October presented their accounts to Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the joint coalition letter .
